BlackBerry recently threw a launch party to celebrate the arrival of the all-new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in the Philippines. Attended by industry partners, business and society leaders and celebrities, the party launched the first smartphone powered by BlackBerry 10, the re-designed, re-engineered and re-invented BlackBerry platform that creates a new and unique mobile computing experience. Available in two colors, Black and White, the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is elegant and distinctive, and is the fastest, most advanced BlackBerry smartphone yet.
Tim Yap kick started the program on a high note as he hyped the crowd and hosted an energetic count-up to 10. He was then joined on stage by his BlackBerry Barkada Georgina Wilson and Solenn Heussaff, along with Ramon Bautista, who shared their own excitement for the new smartphone. They were followed by Cameron Vernest, BlackBerry director for the Philippines, who noted how the BlackBerry 10 launch coincided with the 10th anniversary of BlackBerry in the Philippines. Hastings Singh, the company’s VP and managing director for Asia Pacific, attested to how the country has proven to be such an inspiring market for BlackBerry.
Daniel Do, senior manager for carrier sales, then took the guests to a walkthrough of the power and promise of the company’s latest and best. Aside from its modern design and a gesture-based interface, highlight features of the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone included the BlackBerry Hub, with peek and flow; the BlackBerry keyboard that understands and adapts to you; BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), which includes voice calling, video chat and screen share; Time Shift, an astonishing camera feature that lets you go back moments in time to select the perfect shot; and Story Maker, which lets you bring a collection of photos and videos together, along with music and effects, to produce an HD movie that you can instantly share.
Built to keep you moving, the BlackBerry Z10 is designed for the true multi-taskers, the go-getters and decision-makers and the socially hyper-connected. Aside from Georgina, Solenn and Tim, long-time BlackBerry users Isabelle Daza, Liz Uy, Raymond Gutierrez, Borgy Manotoc, Rayver Cruz, Enchong Dee and Gerald Anderson also experienced the rich features of the BlackBerry Z10 and shared how its philosophy to keep moving fuels their own lives.
The evening also featured a performance from aerial dancers to the tune of Girl on Fire, the hit single by BlackBerry global creative director Alicia Keys. In an inventive mash-up pitting fresh DJ duo Deuce Manila against violinist Bryson Andres, BlackBerry demonstrated how technology meets lifestyle in the new BlackBerry Z10. A fiery rock performance from Solenn and her band proved how multi-faceted BlackBerry people can be.
