Famed dog photographer Seth Casteel is working on a follow-up to his bestselling book, Underwater Dogs.

Casteel recently announced a casting call for Underwater Puppies, which will be published in 2014. Currently he is seeking “the best and brightest swimming puppies for this project.”

Good candidates should love this activity, said Casteel, and be highly motivated to retrieve a toy in water. “The puppy needs to have confidence and drive,” he added, so a photo shoot, which involves Casteel being immersed too, can be accomplished too.

Most importantly, Casteel wants owners to think “safety first, fun second.”

“While all puppies can learn to swim,” he said, but not all puppies ultimately love this activity. Casteel only wants to showcase the ones that adore swimming.
